Gauri Sinh, when she isn't parenting her daughter and Golden Labrador, or cheering national and international Rugby matches, likes to write. Earlier, she used to head Bombay Times, the lifestyle and entertainment supplement of The Times of India, as Editor, and was the launching Editor of BT's Sunday edition.
Then she helmed After Hrs, the lifestyle supplement of the erstwhile national broadsheet DNA, as Editor, while writing weekly columns spanning DNA's city pages and its Sunday section.
In the past she has helmed youth magazines JLT and the erstwhile Femina Girl and dabbled in creating teams and content for new print launches in food and travel under the erstwhile JV of the BBC and Bennett Coleman &Co.
Comment pieces, book extracts, articles and poems of hers have featured in numerous and prestigious publications online and in print, among them, First Post, The Times Of India, The Economic Times, Hindustan Times, Sunday Times, Mumbai Mirror, Elle and Femina.
Gauri enjoys opportunities to engage with her audiences, as with other authors at various Lit Fests, or when invited to speak at educational institutions.
Fashion is her eternal comfort zone, she started her journalism career covering style, having been a model once upon a time. Don't be fooled by the glamour leaning though - at heart Gauri is who she was growing up, having secured places on state and national merit lists through college - a 'nerd'!! Her first and enduring love is the written word.
Gauri lives and works in Mumbai, her social and spiritual home.
